Agia Efimia is a beautiful small fishing village and a picturesque harbour that attracts every year many visitors and sailing boats. Agia Efimia – called “Agia Thimia” by the locals – is the base of the Municipality of Pilaros.

Around the harbour of Agia Efimia there are two mountains, Agia Dinati and Kalon Oros and 24 villages. The locals are mostly farmers, fishermen and sailors. Agia Efimia has atremendous tourism growth the latest years as the town is located only 9 km away from the port of Sami and it has a beautiful landscape and many fine beaches. One of them is Myrtos, the most famous beach in Kefalonia,and it is just a few kilometers away.
