Spartia is a very nice village. There are a couple of smaller villages near it which compose a lovely neighborhood.

There are houses with gardens full of fruit trees, flowers and garden patches in all three villages. The houses with their red roofs and the white walls, look like a painting. They are all built at the foot of the mountain to the sea.

The inhabitants are nice, simple, land-lords who deal with their land properties or the commerce. Generally, many seamen and people living now abroad, who used to live at these villages, take care of their villages and the people who live there.

There is a big church at the village which has a tall, bell-tower with a lovely dome. The church stands like jewelry under the big mountain with a view at the sea.

Generally speaking, Spartia is a traditional Cephalonian village, the best place for calm, carelessness holidays.
